Warranty Policy

Last updated: 6 September 2026

Every vehicle sold by Mono Express is covered by the legal guarantee of conformity. This page explains what the warranty covers, for how long, and how to make a claim.

01Legal guarantee of conformity

As a consumer you are covered by the 24-month legal guarantee of conformity provided by the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005, Arts. 128-135). It runs from the date of delivery and covers any defect that was present at that moment, even if it only becomes apparent later.

02What the warranty covers

Manufacturing and material defects: motor and controller failures, faults in the display or wiring loom, frame or weld defects, braking systems that do not work as specified, and battery packs that fail outside normal degradation.

03Battery and charger

The battery and the charger are covered for 12 months. A lithium-ion battery is a consumable: losing capacity with use is normal wear, not a defect. As a rule a pack keeps over 80% of its original capacity for roughly 500-800 charge cycles. A claim is justified when capacity drops far faster than that, or when the pack fails to charge or hold a charge at all.

04What the warranty does not cover

Consumable and wear parts (tyres, inner tubes, brake pads and discs, grips, bearings); accident, misuse or riding beyond the stated maximum load; water damage beyond the vehicle's IP rating, such as immersion or pressure washing; damage from unauthorised modification or from non-genuine parts; and normal cosmetic wear such as scratches and paint marks.

05How to make a claim

Write to asistenza.mono01@gmail.com or use our contact form, quoting your order number and the frame or serial number of the vehicle. Describe the fault and attach photographs or a short video showing it. Our technicians will normally reply within two working days and, where possible, will try to resolve the problem remotely before arranging a collection.

06Repair, replacement or refund

Where a defect is confirmed we will repair or replace the product free of charge, including the cost of collection and return. If neither remedy is possible within a reasonable time, you are entitled to an appropriate price reduction or to cancel the contract, as set out in the Consumer Code.

07Parts that have been repaired or replaced

A replaced part is covered for the remainder of the original warranty period, or for 12 months from replacement if that is longer. Repairs carried out for reasons not covered by the warranty are quoted in advance and carry a 6-month warranty on the work performed.

08Warranty and your right of withdrawal

The warranty is separate from the 14-day right of withdrawal, which lets you return an order without giving a reason. See our Returns & Refunds page for that procedure.
